#dolledupqueenCAPTURES || Random things and spots in my Lola's home ♥

I went to my hometown last Sunday for my uncle's funeral and after that spent some time in my grandparents' home. My grandparents' home is not the modern type. But I like  that it didn't undergo so much change despite the fact that it was roofless when the super typhoon HAIYAN struck the town.

In this entry I am sharing random things and spots I found in my grandparents' home which I think is a BEAUTIFUL DISASTER.

ABUHAN, the area where meals are cooked through stoves made out of clay, make fire out of corncobs, dried twigs. old newspapers. I know that burning is not good for the environment but that's how it was in the past and is still practised in my hometown.

CLAY POTS where the INON-ONAN (fish stew)  is cooked.

Used corncubs to hold or support hot pots after they are used. HOW INNOVATIVE!

In order to make fire, you have to blow 'til you drop. Nice one bro.

Cooking INSTANT PANCIT CANTON is a pain in the ass. Imagine going all through the blowing, supplying corncubs, pushing twigs to maintain the heat.

A vacant spot in the dirty kitchen where logs are stocked.

Old and broken stuff but remained in this spot. How long have you been in there?

My grandparents maintain a small CORN MILL and this is used to grind corn kernels.

 CORN.

And more SACKS of CORN.

On the lower right corner you'll see a wooden cage used to house chickens. And that gate leads to the backyard with an awesome view of the SUNSET.

Two WOODEN HOUSES with nothing but farming stuff.

I don't know why a plant has to be in three-layered pot.

Queen Fit of the Day || LAZY DRESSING ♥

There are days where you just couldn't figure out what to wear no matter how long you stare at your clothes. YOU CAN'T DECIDE. Or maybe because it's MONDAY and I'm feeling sick. Who doesn't get sick on Mondays, right? LOL

I am not really the "JEANS" type of girl. It will never be my perfect go-to-piece-of-clothing. I just think that it doesn't flatter my pear- shaped body well. But yeah, for today I decided to wear these just because.

Queen Fit of the Day consists of a 35 php v-neck shirt, 180 php acid washed skinny jeans and a pair of pink sneakers from FILA. The outfit was really casual so I decided to crimp my hair for the mermaid hair effect.

I never looked good wearing shirts and jeans and sneakers but today I'm feeling them. ♥

♥ I will go places || Sugbu Mercado ♥

I love Fridays! Not only because it's the last day of the work week (and weekends or lazy days comes next) but because Friday means SUGBU MERCADO TIME!

What is SUGBU MERCADO

SUGBU MERCADO is like a night market where good and quality food is sold without hurting your budget. There's a wide selection of food from Filipino snacks, halo-halo, silvanas, pizza and pasta, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, taho, Mexican snacks- nachos, quesadillas, waffles, paella, bibimbap and popsicles with alcohol flavor. Mouthwatering, isn't it? TRUST ME THERE's MORE.

Wide selection of silvanas to choose from.

Ended up getting these- BLUEBERRY AND ALMONDS. (I guess! Hehehe)

Shared it with my sister and I got the blueberry flavor.

Colourful Drinks.

The moon was full the first time I went there. And anyone here who thinks this tree and everything else is pretty awesome?

That's me, Princess (my sister) and my friend Lyn

❤️

Halo-halo with too much ube stuff but was sooooo nom!

Korean Sambuksal from Chicken Bin

Takoyaki (4 pcs for 50 php) which was so-so in taste and my Blue Lemonade for 25 php.

That's me all smiles after eating too much food.

#dolledupqueenonYOUTUBE || Shawill Make-ups ♥

Last Saturday, I went to the mall and decided to check make-ups from Watson's since they were on sale. I got a BB cream, eyeshadow and blusher palette, an 2-in-2 white and brown eyeliner and a lipstick plus a sunscreen lotion and an ecobag. The make-ups I got summed up to 520 pesos from a local brand called Shawill.

Please bear with me since this is my first video but I'm learning. I suck and it's okay to SUCK! :)

I talked about how I admired youtubers all over the world and you can check it here.

#dolledupqueenonYOUTUBE COMING SOON! || KUDOS TO ALL THE YOUTUBERS, FAMOUS OR NOT ♥

Last night I filmed my first youtube video with just a gopro (hero + LCD) and a GO GO FLASH  (not even a ring light 'cause it's so costly, but soon!) I was able to pull off my first ‪#‎vlog‬ for youtube. It's raw, I didn't edit it at all. I filmed it at 1 am when everybody were fast asleep 'cause I was too shy to do it. You can even hear me use a lot of fillers (like uhhhhhmmmm) 'cause I had no idea what to say! All I know was this should come first and then this and that and etc. I thought it was easy but it's actually harder than I thought.

Being a youtuber is a skill. You need to be able to speak well with or without an audience. It's very tricky because you don't have a script. So everything that comes out from your mouth is impromptu. Your brain should be able to come out with awesome words, ideas, information and speak up without leaving a wide gap of dead air. And not only that, if your video is all about showing make-up products, you need to swatch them in your hands and arms while talking. You need to multitask!

Before I used to criticise some youtubers and label them as "trying hard". But after filming I realised that it's not easy and I have high respect to all the youtubers coming from all over the world. KUDOS!

Below I will be sharing with you a few snaps of my first YouTube video which will be uploaded within the week.
