Summer has officially started here in the Philippines. And one of the best ways to spend it would be at the beach where you can lie down lazily on the powdery white sands, listen to the sound of the crashing waves, watch the sun set in the velvet sky with a cold bottle of beer in one hand. How dreamy! But when you are at work or busy with life’s random buzzes, you’re left with no other choice but stay where are you are.
Two weeks ago, our team hosted an activity that allows the students to enjoy the outdoors and exercise the spirit of sportsmanship.. We gathered some students and teachers to participate with us. The participants were grouped into 2 teams- the RED TEAM and the BLUE TEAM.
PLANT ME IN A BOTTLE is a relay which includes the use of soda bottles and straws. There were 8 bottles arranged in one line and the members have to plant the straws. Once they finished planting the last straw, they have to turn to the other side and harvest everything. Once all the straws have been harvested, the current player passes it on the next one. There are 11 players per team and this cycle must be repeated until the last participant finishes the obstacle. CONSEQUENCE: The players must be extra careful whe playing. Once the bottle falls to the ground, they have to start all over again.
BLOW ME LIKE YOU DO is the second challenge that the players have to go through. In this relay the participants must look for the hidden rubberband underneath the flour. In order to find it, they must blow on the flour as hard as he can. Once they find it, they must get it with the use of a toothpick. They only need one and once they have it, they must go back and the next player must do the same.
WHAT’S THE PASSWORD? It’s the third and final challenge which the team must do in order to be declared as the winner. They will be given a set of letter and a number code. They have to complete the sentence “IT IS MORE FUN IN TARGET!” using the number code.
“Success is not created by one person but by a team that comes together as one.”
