MEMORIES WORTH THREE DECADES

Losing our first home, the place where we built happy-sad-bitter-sweet memories was completely burnt down last January 23, 2018. It was heartbreaking! It felt like losing a loved one over death.  But on a lighter note,I am just so thankful that none was hurt, though mama and I had minor burns. All were safe and no casualties.

I blamed the owners of the household where the fire started. I wanted to curse and shame the firefighter for moving so slow. Imagine the first firetruck came without water in it.  I wanted to blame people for being so careless but as the days, weeks and months passed, I realized that nobody wanted that to happen. It was an accident. A MAJOR MAJOR one.

The construction started days after the incident, still ongoing and will be completed soon. We are just waiting for our VECO reapplication and business will reoperate.

I have a serious SEPARATION ANXIETY when it comes to my stuff. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned out of this incident, it would be LEARNING THE ART OF LETTING GO.  Yes! Even if it has to be in the most hurtful way. It will take time but my family and I will get there.

EVERYTHING WILL ALL GET BETTER IN TIME.
